About
Patrick is a VFX artist, video editor and AI specialist. His work ranges from award winning shorts, YouTube shows, documentaries, pilots and music videos and hopes to work on feature films. Born in the Bay Area and raised overseas, he has continued experimenting and creating videos throughout high school and college. He has experience working with post production teams and a solo artist. His love for film and learning new software never stops growing.
FEATURED WORK
FAKER - Deepfake Short (2023)
An insecure man deepfakes his face with that of a famous actor to go on a blind date, but the date turns out to be the actor's number one fan.
Through this film, I aim to highlight the dangers of Deepfakes and the impact they can have on our sense of identity and trust. I wanted to create a visually stunning and emotionally engaging cinematic experience that would challenge the audience's perception of reality.
While other deepfake videos and TV shows only show deepfakes in short segments, Faker is the first original narrative short that feature several hyperealistic deepfakes from faces to lip manipulation throughout its runtime.

Stasis - Award Winning Short (2019)
A narrative short sci-fi film reminiscent of Black Mirror that is set in a dystopian parallel world where Police A.I. interrogates innocent people for unsupported crimes. Mason Yamashii is interrogated by a cyborg A.I. 042, who is seeking a murder conviction and pinning the blame of his lover Kent. It is inspired by the Japanese legal system where they follow a “guilty until proven innocent” mindset. The project aims to address the issue of surveillance and rise of security in technology.

Lightstinger - Pilot (2019)
As Japan re-militarizes and other Asian countries look to China and North Korea to protect themselves from what they fear will become a repeat of history, the U.S. - Japan Military alliance is rocked to its core when the first ever North Korean T90-level spy is captured, alive. Nothing is as it seems.

Plot: A young man dealing with mental health issues and addiction succumbs to a night of mayhem as he struggles to find moral direction.
