“I can confidently tell you that he is one of the most gifted young video editors I’ve mentored not just at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but throughout my entire career. His open-mindedness to any task makes him a real pleasure to work with. No ego, No attitude. Just intelligence, enthusiasm, and eagerness to grow.”
— Presley Adamson, Producer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
“Patrick is a wonderful person: I found him to be consistently hard-working, self-disciplined, and—most importantly—an original thinker who was always open to direction, suggestions, and critique. Patrick walked in with his technical skills pretty much in hand, in particular his knowledge of editing and effects. He had a particular, instantly recognizable voice and style from the beginning. He was always kind, respectful of others, and generous with his knowledge and expertise. Once you get to know him and understand how generous and fun he is to work with, and how much he loves filmmaking as a process. He is always hungry for editing opportunities, and always brings to them his dedication and precision.
— Ruti Talmor, Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Pitzer College
“Patrick’s projects were always engaging and tight. He is extremely technically savvy, detail oriented and a talented storyteller. I am very confident that he will be able to master the skills necessary to execute his work quickly and efficiently in any editing software. He is very familiar with workflow, graphics and sound editing and is very conscientious and easy to work with. He's extremely reliable and is always an engaged participant. Patrick is extremely passionate about filmmaking, and even before he was a college student, he sought out Visual Communications, a Los Angeles based Asian American media arts organization with whom I work, in order to intern with them. He became an indispensable team member, who helped document the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival. His passion for this field also manifests itself in how productive he is, editing many short films and on-line web series while concurrently going to school.”
— Ann Kaneko, Visiting Assistant Professor at Pitzer College
